A Safe-T-Rip Test Certificate will include the following information:

A Safe-T-Rip belt tear switch will also be tested for mechanical and electrical functionality.

Mechanical function (as per Electric Control Products design parameters) tests are:

  1. Socket attachment;
  2. Plunger test (if applicable) and
  3. Overall visual check and quality assessment of all components before and after construction.

Electrical function (low voltage electrical continuity) tests are:

  1. Continuity test of all the micro switches in normally closed and open positions and electrical connections @ 1 mA 2.7 VDC (if applicable).
  2. Continuity test of all reed switches in normally closed and open positions and electrical connections @ 1 mA 2.7 VDC (if applicable).
  3. Visual check and quality assessment of all micro switch components, cables and connections before installation on switch plate (if applicable) and
  4. Visual check and quality assessment of all reed switch components, cables and connections before installation on switch plate (if applicable).
